ISTS Twin Registries’ Networking Meeting in Budapest
It is our pleasure to invite you to the ISTS Twin Registries’
Networking Meeting, which will be held between 15 and 16 April, 2019,
at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary.
The scope of the meeting will include building capacity through new
international collaborations in twin research and networking among
researchers. The meeting welcomes representatives of both new and
established twin registries and will offer a unique opportunity for
researchers to share challenges, tips and tricks on maintaining their
invaluable twin registries. Novel epigenetic twin studies require
larger sample sizes and twins suffering in rare diseases, therefore,
collaboration across countries has of crucial importance.
The meeting will consist of networking workshops in various topics.
Detailed program will be announced later as soon as the registration
will be finished. Sessions will be organised and finalized based on the

The aim of the meeting is to promote the ISTS 2019 congress in Hong
Kong (28 to 30 November, 2019) to the participants where the progress
of the collaborations starting in the Budapest meeting will be
encouraged and further discussed.

Registration fee is dependent upon the number of participants, which
- lunch for both days
- dinner on Monday night (on the Danube, boat)
- technical support of the conference venue
- cleaning service of the conference venue
Estimated registration fee: between 60 and 135 EUR per person (we try
to reduce the fees as low as possible, depending on the number of
participants) – the exact value will be known after registration
deadline, around 5 January, 2019
Participation cancellation deadline: 15 January, 2019.
Payment deadline: 31 January, 2019.
